Geom-e-Tree Theme Comparison A

This page shows the exact same Tree drawn using the different themes. They are iPhone screenshots to save bandwidth (download time).

See Set B if you haven't already.

Geometric - This is the underlying geometry for all Geom-e-Trees. Lines get finer when there is potential for over lapping so that you can still see the lines.
Chromalume - Same parameters as the Geometric theme, but using colored lines, on a black background so that fine colored lines are visible.
Geometric Lite - The Geometric theme with fewer levels. Renders more quickly, so it's good on less powerful devices. Does fine lines as needed.
India Ink - The Geometric theme with 2-point dark lines for boldness. Lines don't get fine, so it can create areas of black at times. Fewer lines drawn. Fast drawing time - a very responsive tree.
Geom-e-Twee - The original Geom-e-Twee theme. Same geometry as 'Geometric' of course, but with 8-point wide shadowed lines, and rounded line caps.
Zebra - Like Geom-e-Twee, but with black & white lines on odd/even levels. Shadows help the white lines show up.
Magpie - Like Zebra, but with narrower lines.
Pop Sticks - Simply very few, very wide lines with rounded ends. This tree still has life in it and shows the limbs all moving through angles, and also responds to pinching and spreading to change the lengths. More fun perhaps for younger minds.
Spectrum #1 - Lots of colored lines with just a little width. Line shadows make each line stand out.
Spectrum #2 - Narrower lines than Spectrum #1, but more of them, Without shadows the lines merge into areas, even though they are narrow.
Spectrum #3 - Twee-like broad colored lines with shadows. Drawn level by level, with trunk drawn last.
Spectrum #4 - Twee-like broad colored lines without shadows, giving whole areas of pure color. Drawn level by level, with trunk drawn last. (Spectrum #3 without shadows.)
Twee Rainbow #1 - Twee-like broad colored lines with shadows, drawn level by level, with trunk drawn last. (Fewer lines than Spectrum #3.)
Twee Rainbow #2 - Like Twee Rainbow #1, without shadows.
Psych-e-Delic #1 - Twee-like broad colored lines without shadows, giving whole areas of pure color. (Like Spectrum #4.) Colors change when tree is moved in any way.

Themes with very wide Strips

These trees look rather odd at some angles, since they produce many overlapping areas. With shadows, you see the orientation of each strip. Without shadows, the strips blend into areas of color which can be very bold, as you will see if you experiment with these themes.
Twee Rainbow #3 - Wide 3D (shadowed) colored strips.
Psych-e-Delic #2 - Very wide 3D colored strips. Shadows enhance each wide strip. Colors change when tree is moved in any way.
Psych-e-Delic #3 - Wide 3D colored strips. Colors change when tree is moved in any way.
Psych-e-Delic #4 - Same as Psych-e-Delic #3, on a black background. Colors change when tree is moved in any way.
Op Art is made from very wide Black & White strips. This one is kind of cool - shadows can be seen in white areas, but not in black areas. Interesting overall shape.

The Op Art theme is way wilder at other angles and common ratios.
